Wednesday, June 16th, 2010JFC’s ‘Facets of Hope’ Gala to Honor Ireland, Pressly
Tuesday, May 11th, 2010Jewelers for Children (JFC), the industry’s charity with a heart, is celebrating this year’s annual fundraising gala with a new gaming cocktail hour, celebrity guests, including honorees Kathy Ireland and Jaime Pressly, and an after-party cohosted by GEN-NEXT Jewelers, starting at 9:30 p.m. The event will take place on Sunday, June 6, 2010 at the Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. It also marks the second annual JFC Children’s Day, which honors children who are victims of catastrophic illness or life-threatening abuse and neglect.
The cocktail hour will begin at 6:15 p.m. in the Palazzo Ballroom on the fifth level of the hotel. During the cocktail hour, guests will be able to gamble at poker, craps, black jack and roulette — with all funds raised going to JFC. The dinner program will begin at 7:45 p.m. and honor industry leaders Ed Hrabak of Sterling Jewelers and Jonathan Goldman of Frederick Goldman in addition to celebrity guests Kathy Ireland and Jaime Pressly.
Dessert and drinks will be served as part of the transition into the GEN NEXT Jewelers’ after-party, which will give guests who did not attend the dinner a chance to attend and support the JFC event for a $30 admission fee. Active gaming tables will be available in the back and all money raised and won throughout the evening will go directly to the children. GEN-NEXT Jewelers is comprised of a tightknit community that includes the next generation of jewelry industry leaders.
Headed by Michael Schechter of Honora and Russell Kwiat of Kwiat, GEN-NEXT aims to develop social yet informative venues that will bridge the gap between retailers and manufacturers. GEN-NEXT is a committed member of JFC and this will be its first fundraising event for the charity.
Since 1999, JFC has raised more than $34 million dollars for children in need. JFC is generously supported by those who create and sell fine jewelry and watches, trade associations, watch companies and those who provide professional services to the jewelry industry. Please join us in our efforts to unite the industry on behalf of children.
